A Day in the Marshland…
A place where there can be a sense of solitude, but an overwhelming feeling of home and connection.
The soft glow of sunlight delicately wakes the marsh. The beginnings of birdsong slowly breathe life into the quiet and calm. The hazy mist lifts as the air is warmed, the sound of splashes and movement through the bullrushes builds.
Then the lagoon is teeming with commotion from the comings and goings. Flocks of birds and solitary creatures too, congregating in the quagmire. Existing together in the swampy world.
As darkness takes hold, the colourful reflections created by the crimson shades of the sunset fade to murky blues and greys. The sounds turn more haunting as creatures retreat to the cool shadows and the stillness…..Of The Marsh.
